Every room in your house should have a certain feel and look about it. None more so than your bedroom. In my opinion, your bedroom is the most personal room in the house! It should be a sanctuary! If you want tips on how to design a funky and quirky bedroom, then have a read of this piece:

Quirky Furniture

Nothing says unique quite like quirky furniture. Normal furniture, in the bedroom, is way too mainstream and boring, time to mix things up. Get a couple of funky bean bags in there to sit and chill on when you have some downtime. Instead of a regular desk, get something quirky and fresh. You could even look at having a different type of bed than what’s considered traditional. Instead of a bog standard rectangle shaped bed, go for a circular one. Round beds are so eye-catching, you know someone with a circular bed has a unique style. (I'm not sure what sleeping position you'd need to adopt though).

By mixing up the furniture in your room, you can turn it into an interior design masterpiece. It will be a one of a kind and look really cool. Plus, the furniture still functions like traditional furniture, it’s just way more stylish.

Framed Artwork
I always find that some nice artwork can spice up any room. It’s especially brilliant at bringing your bedroom to life and giving it that funky feel. The thing I like most about art is that it’s easy to reflect your personality. Different people like different art, it’s subjective! I’m quite a fan of abstract art paintings; I think there’s a uniqueness to this art. But, you can hang up whatever artwork you like on your bedroom walls. It will bring the room together and give it a more personal look and feel. If you want to go even more personal, why not design and hang up your own artistic work.

Putting art on the walls can be one of the best things you can do when designing a room. It will take up lots of space and draw people’s attention. A must if you want to create a bedroom that wows and wonders.

Murals

All that talk about hanging up artwork has left me with my artistic cap on! So, my next idea is to have a mural in your bedroom. A mural is basically a large painting on a wall or ceiling. You could have whatever you want on your bedroom wall, perhaps something that’s personal to you. Or it could be something completely random that you think looks cool. As I mentioned, you could have a mural on your ceiling too, if you want to go a step further. Ceiling murals are incredibly unique and can jazz up your bedroom.

If you’re an artsy person, then you may be able to produce a mural by yourself. If not, I’m sure there’s someone out there willing to help turn your room into a masterpiece! A mural is a great way to make use of plain wallpaper and make it seem more appealing. Plus, you can get paint that washes off easily, so you can change it if you don’t like it!
