At this time of year I love nothing more than curling up on my sofa with a hot drink and a good romantic book to read, and while I normally choose more Christmas-themed novels to fit in with the festive period, The Little Cafe in Copenhagen is perfect to read at any time of year but has enough cosy to fit right in with my winter reading list.

I was immediately drawn to the book simply because of it's title, Copenhagen is a beautiful city and it's somewhere I would definitely jump at the chance to spend more there and when I read the description I just knew this was a book I had to read.

It follows the adventure of Kate, who works in PR (as do some of my best friends) and has to organise a press trip to Copenhagen (sounds like a dream!). Along the way there's work drama, love troubles and a really warm sense of friendship. All of it is wrapped up in lovely blanket made of Hygge and Denmark.

I absolutely loved this book, it was easy to read but had enough depth to keep me interested and I've already read it again since I finished it... a true sign of how much I enjoyed it. It's a great way to get some me-time!

I've actually bought a copy for my friend for Christmas, she works in PR and her name is Kate! Unfortunately she knows nothing about Hygge, but who knows, maybe this book will get her interested.. ;) and I'm definitely looking at getting away to Copenhagen next year.

You can pre-order your own copy of The Little Cafe in Copenhagen by Julie Caplin on Amazon here for when it's released on February 1st.

If you do end up picking up a copy, come back and let me know what you think, I always love hearing your opinions!

Stay safe, x
