So I had never tried a stick foundation before, I've always used liquid, but when I saw this while browsing online I decided I wanted to give it a go to see what it was like and at just £5 it's a beauty bargain!
The Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation comes in 18 shades and it seems to be a pretty good range, with different undertones available to really help get the best match. For me, F2 (fair with yellow undertones) seemed to be the best option online and when it arrived I was so happy with the match; it's pretty much perfect to be honest.
Having never used stick foundation before I was a little bit cautious when I first went to use it; where do I put it, how much etc.. but it's really easy to get a hang of.
I did 2 sweeps on each side of my face, one across my forehead, one down my nose and one on my chin and then blended. I chose to use my normal brush, but I think it would blend out nicely with a sponge or your fingers as well.
And it really did blend out like a dream, no clinging, no accentuating dry patches or lines and it blended down my neck really well.
Surprisingly it gives an amazing amount of coverage and because it has a "fresh and dewy finish" it never looks dry, which is an issue I normally have with full coverage foundations. If you have oil-prone skin you'll probably need to powder it down to stop it getting shiny during the day but if you're on the dry side it really is great and it stayed put for hours.. even in the middle of a heatwave!!
I don't go full coverage every day in the summer and often reach for BB cream if my skin is behaving, but this has fast become my go-to foundation and I haven't used anything else since I bought it... and I've already purchased a backup for when it runs out.
I really like this foundation and it's made me want to try more in the stick format because it is so easy to apply and would be really easy to travel with too. I can't find any faults with the Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation and will definitely be using it for a long time to come!
If you have any stick foundations that you love, let me know in the comments below. :)
Stay safe, x
