Well the weather outside is frightful (spontaneous Christmas song singing is allowed here) as we are being battered by a storm at the minute. I know most of the UK is expecting bad weather over the next few days, and most of the west coast have already been affected by the last storm. One thing I do want to know; is who chose these names? They say it was a public vote, but seriously Barney?! That's a dinosaur people!
So there I was this afternoon taking part in a very fun twitter party (tip: don't tweet about food on an empty stomach) when I got an alert for gale force winds and a flood warning.. great! Now I've already done most of my winter preparation so my house is as ready as it can be for bad weather, but when you know a storm is going to hit it's a good idea to take a few really simple steps just in case! I thought I'd share a few of my quick tips with you..
I could go into so much more detail, but I won't otherwise this post will be 50 pages long! If you want to know do a quick search online for 'preparedness' and you'll get loads of resources to help you out.
If the weather is affecting you tonight, I hope you have a safe evening and hopefully it'll calm down soon!
Below you can see one of my new LED candles, far safer than traditional flames and they flicker too! I have no idea why I put it into a jar as it gives off no heat, but it looks cosy!
If you have any tips for preparing for a storm, I'd love to hear them!
Stay safe, x
