I've been trying (not always successfully) to make a real effort with the skincare and beauty products I'm buying these days.. I'm hoping to move to more natural alternatives wherever possible. So when I found out it was Organic September it presented the perfect opportunity for me to try some new items and share them with you!
The first product is this ORGANii Liquid Soap. ORAGANii products are vegan friendly, certified by Ecocert, free of SLS & artificial preservatives (parabens) and added colourants.
I went with the lavender scented soap simply because it's one of my favourite smells... it instantly relaxes me and brings a real sense of luxury to hand-washing! The soap smells wonderful and because it's formulated with olive oil you get that squeaky clean feeling but without drying out your skin which is fantastic.
I'm often irritated by hand washes but this has actually improved my skin and leaves my hands feeling lovely and soft!
It's slightly more expensive than a usual liquid soap at £4.45 but you actually only need to use a tiny amount so I expect it will last longer. You can purchase this and other ORGANii products direct from their website here. I'm quite interested in their organic cotton plasters at the moment!
The second product I'm going to tell you about is Soultree's Kajal eyeliner.
Now if you've read almost any of my beauty posts before, you'll know just how much I love eyeliner.. it's the key part of my makeup.
These 100% natural kajals are handmade and are made with natural carbon black (from vegetable oil lamps), organic ghee, natural mineral pigments and organic almond oil.
Together these mean you get a fantastic range of highly pigment colours, with smooth application for a precise finish.
I was really impressed with how easy it was to get the same thin line with this kajal as I would with an eyeliner pen normally (you can see below)... I found it did smudge more easily, but that's not unexpected.
The Soultree Kajals come in 12 different colours and cost £13.90, again slightly more expensive than their high street cousins but it won't irritate your eyes and you're helping the environment so I'll say it's worth it... and again it'll last longer!
You can buy your own Soultree Kajal eyeliner here from their website.
Overall I'm really impressed with both of these products, they are incredibly high quality and I love knowing that they're natural and organic! I will definitely continue using both the soap and the eyeliner in place of my usual products, and will almost certainly repurchase once they've run out! I might even buy a couple of items for christmas presents....
Do you use organic beauty or skincare products? Do you find they work better than their non-organic counterparts? I'd love to know your thoughts, so please drop me a comment below!
Stay safe, x
