Nailene Fing'rs Flirt Nail Art Gellies review

Nail art is a huge thing this year, everybody has it, and those who don't, want it! But for most people getting artistic, creative nails is just a whole lot of fuss, and time consuming! That's why Nailene produced their Fing'rs Flirt Nail Art Gellies.

The idea is simple; you paint your nails (or leave them natural), let them dry, then peel the gellie off the sheet and stick it on top of your nail, then you can either add a top coat or leave as is.  Sound good? It is. It also works exactly as it says on the back of the packet! It is extremely quick, and very easy.

I chose to put my gellies on top of nail polish, as I think that's the most effective way of making the designs really stand out. I chose silver and the leopard print design for my left hand, and dark red with daisies for my right hand.

If you want a really quick way of getting fashionable nails, then these are just what you want. If you want professional results or if you're fond of perfection, then that could be harder to achieve. I found that although the gellies are quick and easy to apply, they were not quite the right shape (for my nails anyway). For my thumb nails even with the biggest size of gellie there was still a lot of empty space around the edge, on the daisy design this wasn't as much of a problem, but it really stood out on the leopard print. I also found for a few of my nails I did have to trim the ends as my nails aren't quite long enough, but that was hardly a problem! You also need to be very precise with your application as you only get one shot. If you get it wrong you can't pull the gellie off and try again, as it does take your nail polish with it!

I also think that a top coat is not really an optional extra, it's definitely a necessity as I found without it the gellies don't really have a lot of staying power with everyday activities.

All in all I think Nailene Fing'rs Flirt Nail Art Gellies are great fun, and perfect for a really quick fashionable way to mix up your nails. But not so good if you want a professional finish or perfection.  I'll definitely be using them again, and I would happily recommend them.

You can buy your own Nailene Fing'rs Flirt Nail Art Gellies from asda.com or Asda stores nationwide at a price of £3.99 (per pack of 2 designs).

Stay safe, x
