If you follow me on twitter or instagram you'll probably know just how much I value my morning coffee/tea break; I'm not sure how I'd get through the day without it to be honest!
Thanks to Beanies Flavour Co, my pick-me-up wake-me-up has gotten even better, with flavoured coffee! Yes you heard me correctly. Now on their website they say "Only a fool would try and improve coffee’s natural flavour. But only a true coffee nut (that’d be us) would succeed in adding variety and va-va-voom. Flavour is what we love and ‘Flavour to the heart of the bean’ is what we’re about." Well I agree with them, on both counts! I never thought coffee needed flavouring, I'm not one for those fancy syrups you see in coffee shops, but Beanies have definitely changed my mind because these are delicious!
For me my favourite has to be the cinder toffee.. it is heaven in a cup and I am not exaggerating! The very vanilla is probably better for people who don't like strong flavours, for me I just felt that it sweetened the coffee; which isn't a bad thing as I always add sugar (more on this in a second). The nutty hazelnut it also lovely, but if I'm honest it took me a couple of cups to get used to as I've never drank anything like it!!
I know that some people frown on instant coffee but I am not one of them! But for those of you with more "refined" tastes ;) you can purchase cinder toffee, irish cream and very vanilla in roast ground form from supermarkets. You can also get decaf instant versions and some very fancy premium roast flavours too!
Beanies don't add anything other than the pure ingredients to the coffee because they know how important it is to look after the coffee bean. The instant coffees have 2 calories per cup. That's a lot less than you'd get at your chosen highstreet chain, and because they're naturally sweet you don't need to add sugar either! Hurray!
I wasn't sure what could improve my coffee-break, it's a delicious slice of me-time that no-one can ruin, but Beanies have really made it so much better! I am definitely going to be trying out some more flavours, and with the instant jars costing only £2.50 I can try as many as I like! ;)
Do you like flavoured coffee? Is a coffee break part of your daily routine? Let me know!
