Okay so I'll admit that if you had the same weather as me lately (rain, rain, thunder, rain) then you probably don't feel very summery right now, I completely understand because I feel the same way. I'm sat on the sofa in the same clothes I was wearing in February and I know of more than one close friend who has switched their central heating back on EEK!
But it is summer and we will have nice long summer evenings and hot sunny days (the power of positive thought) so at some point you'll be wanting to get outside and enjoy your garden/patio. Mine has been a little bit neglected over winter so it could definitely do with a bit of attention and Aldi's latest Specialbuys collection has some great products to do just that this summer! The full Aldi Summer Garden range includes:
The As always with Aldi's Specialbuys I'm really impressed with everything they have on offer this time; there's something for everyone and it covers all the aspects of spending time outdoors, with something for every budget!
I was able to get my hands on the Outdoor Wall Clock and the Vintage White Outdoor Lantern, but there are other items that I'm definitely going to be heading to my local store for! I really want a couple more of the lanterns (which I'll tell you more about in a moment), the Wooden Director's Chairs look really comfy so they're definitely something I'm going to consider, along with the Solar Topiary Balls for our front porch and Self-Watering Pots! I've also got my eyes on some of the Ladie's Ankle Wellington Boots as they're much easier to garden in than the longer wellies I have. I can't lie, I'd happily have all of it in my garden! This set of Specialbuys is instore from Sunday 19th June 2016 and will be available whilst stocks last!
As I said I got my hands on the Outdoor Lantern in the Vintage White colour, which you can see above (tealight not included) and I fell in love with it on sight, isn't it gorgeous?? I wasn't joking when I said I want to buy more of these lanterns, I really do because they are so amazing! In the summer they are perfect for having outside on the patio with a candle (out of kiddies reach) or an electric tealight like mine. In the colder months you can bring them in and use them as a decoration, fill them with pinecones or christmas baubles?
Since I received my lantern I haven't been able to settle on one particular place for it because I just want it everywhere! But because it has a very handy handle on the top it's really easy to move around. It's currently sitting next to our fireplace where it looks fab and as it gets darker I'll turn the tealight on and it can flicker soothingly! It's also fantastic outside that's where it's designed to go and would be lovely either on your patio or even outside your front door as a focal point. For just £7.99 this is an absolute bargain and if you want one I'd suggest getting down to your local Aldi ASAP because I reckon they're going to sell out really fast.
The other item I was lucky enough to try out from this Specialbuys range is the Outdoor Wall Clock in bronze. Like the lantern I've not quite settled on where I want it because although it's meant for outside I honestly think this clock would look gorgeous in any room inside your house as well!
The clock is really well made and is sturdy enough to withstand the weather outside. When you open the box all you need to do is fit the battery (included), set the time and then hang it up. I'll probably hang it from my fence eventually, which will mean I won't lose track of time in the garden! At £9.99 this is another bargain from Aldi, especially as it's so versatile with it's design.. if you want it in your kitchen or bedroom go right ahead it will look lovely!
And if you happen to pop into your local Aldi to look at their Summer Garden Specialbuys, make sure to check out their food and drink while you're there too!
They have a great range of food that is perfect for eating outside, from BBQs to salad and you can pair it with your choice of drink, including their delicious Prosecco which will be wonderful on a warm summer evening! If you choose the Prosecco, there's a great range of cocktail recipes here. It's great value at just £7.49 per bottle, and is light & refreshing making it perfect for summer! Remember, these items are only available whilst stocks last and the stock between stores will vary, so make sure you go and look as soon as you can from Sunday 19th June 2016. If you do make any purchases, be sure to let me know as I'd love to see them, but make sure you leave a couple of lanterns for me!! Stay safe & enjoy the summer, x

UPDATE: I HAVE WELLIES!
Aren't they pretty??? They're incredibly comfortable and absolutely perfect for the British summer where one minute it's boiling hot sunshine and the next pouring it down with rain. I'd definitely recommend getting your hands on some if you can! We love wellies! <3
