So by now there are 2 things you should now; the first being that I love food, the second being that I quite like Aldi too!
Over the next few weeks you'll also learn something else... I am crazy about Christmas! So this is really the ideal opportunity for me to combine all 3 with Aldi's Christmas Kitchen Essential Specialbuys! The range is split into 2 seperate events, so event 1 is 12th November 2015 and the range is made up of (price high to low):
Above you can see the newest addition to my kitchen cupboards, and my aren't they beautiful?! Copper pans people, copper pans. If you spend any amount of time on pinterest you'll know how coveted they are, and thanks to Aldi you can get these amazing looking pans for a tiny price! I have never wished that I had my pans hanging more than I do now, I'd love to have these hung from the ceiling to show them off all the time!
But not only do they look great, they have a lid (do you know how hard good pans with lids are to find?) and they heat up faster than traditional pans, whilst still distributing heat evenly for perfectly cooked food every time. I love them, and I am really going to enjoy using them this Christmas (I've used them so many times already!).
To partner with the beautiful pans, these copper kitchen tools are equally gorgeous! They are really strong and durable, so don't worry they won't bend in hot substances. But they really do brighten up any kitchen, mine are in pride of place next to the cooker and I've had so many compliments on them already (I've also bought a few for Christmas gifts, sssh)!
Those of you who follow me on twitter may have seen that I got a new kettle in October, now I'm not going to tell you the brand or how much it cost (it was only just outside three figures!). But what I am going to tell you is that it has gone back in it's box and now lives under the stairs. This kettle costs just under £20 and is so much better! It is light, even when full to the max, it boils super fast, it illuminates and the spout is so accurate! The fact that this has now replaced my much more expensive kettle speaks volumes about the quality of this one, I'd definitely recommend it!
Now this one challenged me, I've never cooked with a Tagine before... but I love them and I love the food that is created under that wonderful green lid. But I decided to bite the bullet and give cooking with a Tagine a go. There are lots of recipes around, so take a look online for one that sounds yummy to you! The Tagine is easy to cook with and the dishes you create with end up delicious. While you're not cooking with it, you could use it as a centerpiece, perhaps fill with pine cones for an autumnal flair?
One thing you definitely need at Christmas is sharp knives! How are you going to carve your turkey or chop your veg if your knives are blunt? This knife sharpener is quick and easy to use, and restores your knives to their former glory!
There are two separate sharpening discs, depending on the knife you're using. My knives are now back slicing with ease!
Now your knives are sharp, you need somewhere to keep them safe. This knife block uses "spaghetti rods" which keep the knives where you put them! It's a really stylish way to keep your knives in one place, so you won't find yourself hunting for the carving knife on Christmas day!
My only issue is that my knives don't all fit in, so I'm having to re-evaluate which ones I need out on the worktop, it's not an easy decision people!
If you missed the first part of this range don't worry because on the 12th December part 2 is in stores (whilst stocks last).
The range will include:
It's no exaggeration to say that, once again, I am so impressed with this Specialbuys range from Aldi. There are some really wonderful items that will make Christmas dinner truly wonderful! And of course, they're all really great value as always!
I'd definitely recommend that you go and take a look when the next set comes out 12th December, be quick or they'll all be gone!
I'd love to know what you think, will you be buying any of the items for Christmas dinner? Do you have a Tagine recipe for me?

Stay safe, x
