I don’t know about you, but I hate waking up in the morning with dark circles. When I look in the mirror and see my panda eyes, I let out a groan. Which is why I decided to do a little research and find out how to get rid of my dark circles. Here are some things I found that can help: Tea Bags An awesome tip for getting rid of dark circles is to use tea bags. A couple of used teabags on the eyes can seriously help the skin. The caffeine in the bags will help to energize the skin and make it seem brighter and clearer. If you have them on for a minimum of fifteen minutes, you can start to see immediate results. I’d recommend doing this a few times per week until they’re gone completely. One bit of advice here, make sure the teabags are chilled. Don’t make a cup of tea and then pop the bags on your eyes!! Put them in the fridge and by the time you’ve finished your cuppa, they’ll be chilled. Also, take them out before you put the milk in. Cucumber Slices This is the classic way to get rid of dark circles. You’ve probably seen it many times in films, or when you’ve gone to a spa. People are lying on their back with cucumbers over their eyes. This is because cucumbers are like 90% water. What this means is that they will heavily hydrate your eyes. It will make the skin feel a lot fresher and seem visibly clearer. You’ll notice an immediate effect if you use cucumbers. My tip here is to cut the slices very thin. You don’t want massive chunky slices on your eyes; it won’t work as well! Get More Sleep
Whenever you have a problem, you should always look to address the cause. One of the main causes of dark circles is not getting enough sleep. How do you counter this? By getting more sleep! Take a look at why you aren’t getting sleep and fix that. If you’re watching TV before bed, this is probably why you’re struggling with sleep. A lot of the time it’s because you’re on your phone snapchatting away instead of sleeping! For me, I used to struggle with sleep because my bed was awful. I actually slept on the floor for ages before I finally changed beds. The difference was incredible. You can get latex mattresses in double size by John Ryan by Design that are great for sleeping on. Changing your mattress is a really simple way to help you sleep better. Or, if the problem is severe, consider looking for some sleeping pills to help. Allergy Medication Another main cause of dark circles are allergies. If you have an airborne allergy, then one of the symptoms is dark circles. It’s all got something to do with your nose and when your nose gets blocked. The blockage does something that causes the skin around your eyes to go darker. So, get some allergy medication to relieve these symptoms. A nasal spray is a great idea to clear that nose and help the darkness fade away. Do you struggle with dark circles?
