Let’s face it; an outfit isn't truly complete unless you’ve accessorised. You can quickly turn something casual into an outfit that’s ready for a night on the tiles with a few simple accessories. And now with the colder autumn months on their way, you have the perfect excuse to dress up those baggy jumpers and concealing coats. Keep bad hair at bay with hats Not a hat person? Don’t worry! There are so many types of hats that it’s only a matter of time until you find one that suits you. Berets are particularly on trend at the moment, or if you don’t want a full hat what about a headband or earmuffs? Hats are also awesome for when you are having a bad hair day. There’s no need to bother with dry shampoo when you can cover up those greasy roots in seconds with a stylish hat. This works both during the summer and the winter too. Perfect! Wrap around a scarf Who says that accessories only have to be fashionable? Dress your outfit up and make it practical at the same time with a scarf. Keep your neck warm and cosy and your outfit looking sharp with a co-ordinating scarf during autumn and winter. Add some sparkle with earrings It’s easy to run out of the house having forgotten to slip in some earrings. If you get your outfit ready the night before, remember also to put out some earrings in a place you’ll remember them. You can turn an outfit from casual to smart with some beautiful drop earrings. Or how about some bold statement earrings to really make a scene? Don't have pierced ears? That’s no problem - opt for clip-on earrings instead! Get furry
Faux fur is a must-have during the colder months of the year, and luckily you can find just about anything with a bit of fur in it. Fur scarves, bags and even shoes can spice up your wardrobe, or how about just a simple fur lining on your coat? Add some flare with Brooches Those warm winter coats don’t really allow for much accessorising… or so you’d think. Pin a brooch onto your coat and feel fabulous even when you’re cloaked in your jacket. Find one that reflects your personality and you’ll be sure to get more compliments than you can count. Throw in some bling with rings Wearing multiple rings on one hand has been a big trend during the last year. And statement rings will stand out beautifully and draw attention to your entire outfit. If you normally keep your accessorising to a minimum, this is a great way to add a subtle change. Carry around your handbag Where would we be without our handbags? They are an absolute necessity for any woman. Where else would we store all our important bits and pieces? Don’t just let your handbag be a functional thing, turn it into yet another accessory to match your style. What other ways do you accessorise? Let me know in the comments below! Stay safe, x
