Hello and an early Merry Christmas to you! Okay, so that's maybe going a bit far isn't it? But we are
here for festive reasons!
Now while advent lasts for 24 days (if you're lucky your calendar may have a bonus choccy for the 25th),
Advent on smeethsaysfashion.com is only going to last 4 days. Stingy I know.
I've found 3 of my favourite Advent calendars on the market, that are each different to each other
and also to what you're probably used to! On day 4 I'll do a roundup feature with a few others
that are worth considering as we countdown to Christmas.
For most people advent calendars tend to mean some sort of sweet treat and this one follows that theme, but is something rather special!
These 3D Advent Gift Boxes can be bought either flat-packed for you to assemble or ready made, and you also have the choice to either buy the fillings direct from them or use your own little treats for the drawers. There's also three different designs to choose from; the red and green version you can see above, pink or blue.
Each tower contains 24 drawers with a special surprise inside, a lovely twist on the chocolate advent calendars.
I was actually really impressed with the gifts inside the drawers because they are incredibly high quality and are definitely worth the cost of choosing the fillings through the website. I love the variety and the little "cakes" inside too. Another really big plus point for me is that the ingredients for each item are listed, which is obviously important if you have any allergies.
Not only are the fillings great quality, but the actual advent tower itself is also well-made. It may be cardboard but it's sturdy and secure; it stands up well and shouldn't have any trouble surviving Christmas. Because they are flat-packed you could (if you wanted to) disassemble it and save it for next year as well.
The Advent Gift Boxes themselves are £15 for the ready made versions or £12 if you're happy to put it together yourself, while the gifts for the inside start at £2.50 for 6 items, with plenty of choice for you to mix and match what goes inside.
If you want something slightly more "adult" then they also do a 12 Days of Christmas range which includes whiskey, vodka and gin varieties, which would make a lovely early Christmas gift!
I absolutely love this advent gift box, it's such a wonderful idea and I cannot wait to open a new drawer every day to find out which yummy treat awaits me... December breakfasts should be interesting!
I'd love to know your thoughts on this advent calendar.. is it something you would do at home?
Stay safe and get festive, x
