Theme parks are a great fun-filled day out. The thrills of the rides combined with the quality time you get to spend with your friends and family makes this trip one to remember. But one important question needs to be answered. What do you wear to a theme park? You don’t want to be the person who makes a huge fashion faux pas and spends the whole day regretting their style choices. Follow this guide to choose the perfect theme park outfit that will keep you stylishly comfortable and help you enjoy every part of your day.

Avoid tight white tops
White tops are a great item to wear if the weather is particularly warm, as they can help keep you cool. However, it’s not a great choice if you a very fitted white top on.
Theme park rides nowadays often include water and getting soaked. If you’re wearing a tight white top, this can be a disaster as your top will turn see-through. Suddenly you will feel very exposed and self-conscious. To avoid this embarrassment, you can either wear something else or just skip the water rides all together. Which won’t be much fun when the rest of your group leaves you behind. Pack a waterproof rain coat with a hood that compliments the rest of your outfit, as this will also be ideal if it starts to rain. If you insist on wearing white, go for loose and wear a flesh coloured bra!

Wear sensible footwear
Theme park visits always involve plenty of walking, so it’s wise to leave your best heels at home. Brand new boots and shoes probably aren’t a good idea either, as you won’t have had time to break them in. This could mean you get painful blisters that can stop you from having the best time possible. Trainers and plimsolls are the most obvious choice but they don’t have to be boring. Dress in one colour such as black or grey and wear some patterned trainers to add some colour and make a statement. Your feet will last the whole day and you’ll still look fabulous even with your casual footwear.

Don’t go too short
Tiny shorts, dresses and skirts may look good, but they don’t make a sensible option for theme parks. The seats on the rollercoasters and rides can make your shorts or skirt ride up and you’ll spend most of your day pulling them down. This again is something you want to avoid as it can make the rides uncomfortable meaning you won’t enjoy them as much. Think carefully about the length of your clothing to prevent the embarrassment and lack of comfort. Knee length is ideal as the fabric will protect your legs from being rubbed against the seats. Jeans are another excellent choice, just ensure they fit and style is suitable for your body shape.

Use these tips and always think about changes in the weather throughout the day. Wrap up warm with plenty of layers that you can remove easily if you need to. Whatever you choose to wear, remember to have a brilliant time!!!

Do you like theme parks? What are your fashion tips for surviving the rides?

Stay safe, x
